Tava Rose Martinez’s Build a Wheelchair Page

Tava has chosen to give up her 6th birthday to help those who can’t walk. In her own words this is why: “I’m doing a fundraiser because when I grow up I want to be a doctor and I want everyone to be healthy and happy. And I want everyone to be able to move from one place to another. That’s why.”

Wetherby School’s Fundraiser

Wetherby Senior and Prep Bursaries: There are times when we have lost parents and boys from our community due to circumstances changing at home. These are arguably the most difficult situations to deal with and ones that we work hard to avoid but inevitably, we have experienced them in recent years. We set up the ‘Wetherby Bursary Fund’ as an independent body that can act as a mechanism to potentially assist on these occasions and potentially also offer bursaries to talented children from the state sector who would otherwise not be able to access independent school.

St Mary’s Hospital More Smiles Appeal aims to raise at least 2 million pounds to help fund the hospital’s much needed expansion of the children’s intensive care unit, increasing the number of beds from 8 to 15. This would allow more than 200 extra children who are currently being sent as far afield as Birmingham, to be treated each year.

Rwanda Aid was established in 2008 and operates in the remote South West of Rwanda where there is widespread poverty and suffering with only limited NGO support, bringing hope and opportunity to the most vulnerable and disadvantaged, especially children and young people. Rwanda Aid helps people to build a more secure and prosperous future for themselves and their community by supporting education training and enterprise.

Children & The Arts was founded by HRH The Prince of Wales ten years ago and works with children affected by social and economic disadvantage as well as those in hospice care to give them an opportunity they would not otherwise have to experience high quality engagement with the arts. The charity provides inspirational and sustained engagement with an art form in collaboration with industry professionals with a clear aim to raise the aspirations, wellbeing and happiness of the young people.
