Join us for a 15 kilometer walk on Saturday June 18th at 10:00 am (with an option of doing a shorter 5k walk) around Hyde Park, Green Park, and St. James’s Park to raise money to donate wheelchairs to people in need in the developing world.
The walk will commence at Hyde Park’s Band Stand. Email londonwalkabout@thewalkaboutfoundation.org to register. You will receive all details in an email once you’ve registered.
It’s free to join the walk but we encourage participants to fundraise any amount they can, whether its £200 pounds (or $300 dollars) for an entire wheelchair or just a few pounds for wheelchair parts. KX GYM is our headline sponsor, which means 100 percent of all funds raised go directly to the cause. Here’s what the money you raise can buy:
£10 = front wheel
£21 = back rest
£30 = main frame

On Saturday, 18 June I will be taking part in the Walkabout Foundation’s LONDON WALKABOUT 2011, a 15k walk in Hyde Park to raise money to fund research for a cure for paralysis and donate wheelchairs to people in need. Every 30 minutes of every day someone in the world is spinal cord injured and there are over 100 million children, teenagers, and adults around the globe that need a wheelchair and cannot afford one.
The walk is free for everyone and anyone to join but your support is much appreciated to help me reach my target to raise $1,500 for 5 wheelchairs!
Thank you for your support!

I am thrilled to be joining other Walkabout cyclists in this challenge for the fourth year running!
This is a big year for me as I complete five marathons and cycle in this event, and I hope to raise a total of $26,000 from these events. Please help me and Walkabout in my mission and thank you so much!

Because I can’t be in London to participate in the 15 kilometer walk around Hyde Park, Green Park, and St. James’s Park to raise money to donate wheelchairs to people in need in the developing world I will be doing a 10 mile Walk-along in Washington DC.
We have seen how a wheelchair can change a person’s life, so my goal is to raise enough money to donate at least one wheelchair to a person in need. By supporting me you can help change a life!
