Carolina to be honored at Henry Street Gala

Henry Street Settlement has served New Yorkers for over 100 years with innovative social services, arts programs and health care services. More than 50,000 people each year benefit from one or more of Henry Street’s programs, which include: Transitional Housing for Homeless Families, Domestic Violence Shelter, services for people impacted by HIV/AIDS, Senior Services, Workforce Development Center, Behavioral and Primary Health Care, After-School and College Prep Programs, Day Care Centers, Summer Day Camps and Abrons Art Center.
Please join Henry Street Settlement on Tuesday, April 4, 2013, at the Plaza Hotel Grand Ballroom in New York City for their Spring 2013 Gala Dinner Dance.
Henry Street is delighted to honor Carolina Gonzalez-Bunster with the Young Leadership Award as co-Founder of the Walkabout Foundation “for her outstanding fundraising efforts toward research to find a cure for paralysis and for donating wheelchairs to people in need across the world.” Alexandra Lebenthal, Chief Executive Officer of Lebenthal & Company LLC, and Reed Krakoff, President and Executive Creative Director of Coach and REED KRAKOFF will also be honored for their philanthropic contributions to the betterment of New York City and beyond.
Co-Chairs for the event are Natalia Gottret Echavarria, Kalliope Karella, Angela Mariani, Melisa Melling, Anna Pinheiro, Pilar Crespi Robert, Lesley Schulhof and Barbara von Bismarck.
Live and silent auctions will take place at the Gala. Henry Street is pleased to partner again with charitybuzz, an online service that will expand the reach of our silent auction. Proceeds from the Gala are a vital source of funding for the social services, arts and health care programs Henry Street provides to more than 50,000 New Yorkers each year.
